One thing that all of us should know, no matter you’re a guy or gal that giving birth is not an easy process at all. It is such a painful process that a mum have to go through. However, it is also a wonderful experience because the mum is giving a whole new life to a new born.
Why am I saying all this now?
Before I explain further, let me announce this, it’s quarterplets. =) . The first 2 are males, and second 2 are females.
I have stayed up last Saturday night till Sunday morning by setting alarm clock hourly. Suki have started panting since Saturday night and I believe that’s when her labor starts. I have created a whelping box for her delivery and place it outside my room. I knoew that she plan to give birth on first floor becoz I tried to put the whelping box at ground floor, she can still run up to first floor in my room. And guess what, she plans and about to jump onto my bed. I suspect she wants to give birth on my bed. NO WAY I WILL ALLOW THAT MAN!
So, I ended up pu the box just outside of my room where I can still watch her while lying down on my bed. So, not wanting to miss out the process and also to make sure everything is fine, I have to stay up the whole night. Once in a while, she’ll go to her whelping box and dig. When she does that, I have to open my eyes wide and observe if she’s delivering that time. But, everytime was just a false alarm. When woke up at 7am, she still haven’t deliver yet. OMG… that’s so torturing.
So, about 9+am. She’s been sitting in the whelping box and started panting heavily. At 10am, I witnessed a wonderful thing in the world. Suki had her contraction and gave birth to her first male puppy at 10.04am. It’s such an animal mother instinct to clean up her own puppy and bite off the umbilicol cord. Suki was doing quite well that she managed to deliver to 4 still healthy live puppies in 2 hours time.
Suki in labor since Saturday night.
Weighing machine shows that Suki is 5.2kg which I think it’s inaccurate coz I remember she was about 5.4kg two days before.
Suki’s first pup.
After giving birth to 3 puppies and waiting for the last delivery.
Suki’s stomach immediately slim down after given birth to 4 healthy puppies.
Suki with her puppies.
OMG..this is super cute. Suki nursing her youngest puppy.
10.04am – First Male
10.17am – Second Male
10.50 – First Female
11.40am – Second Female
The vet advise to give Suki puppy dog food after delivery as it has more nutrients. Unfortunately, Suki’s Purina One is out of stock currently and only arrived this week. So, Mr. BF sponsored Suki a small packet of puppy dog food temporary while waiting For Purina One dog food.
There are more photos and videos to be shared but I’m pretty tired and exhausted now. I will try to upload soon. By the way, any suggestion for her puppies name? I have some Japanese name in mine perhaps you can help me out on choosing names for each puppy.

Cutey new born puppies..Why were all of them in black?Personally like the names for male puppies -hoshi junko, female puppies as aki, keiko..Will their fur turn out to be like their mummy when they grow up..
Hi angelyee, silky terriers are born blue tan/tom similiar to black colour. the fur colour changes as they grow up, however, for some they remain the same colour or some with certain parts of light brown colour.
thanks a lot for the name suggestion, i’ll seriously take into consideration. =D
Congratulations on the new born pups Emeryn! They are adorable! I love the names: Haru and Yuki for the boys; Keiko and Sachi (meaning Child or Joy) for the girls
omg!!! the puppies are sooooo cute… dang… can’t wait to go back and see them… i think when i’m there, the puppies are gonna be able to run around a bit… kekekeke… EXCITED!!!!
when u’re back..they already open eyes adi la…yesterday waited for u to online at 9pm so can on web cam..dunno where u went…
thanks..those names sounds nice..but Yuki is female name right? hehehe..
Yuki can be used for both male n female
I saw a lot guy characters in jdrama and anime with the name Yuki
haha..i wonder if they will mix up the names when i call suki and yuki… hahaha..hearing problem… later they only hear the last tone “ki” thought i’m calling both of them.
haha true.. they might get confuse
are u gonna keep all 4 pups?
what about other names like..
Hiro – Generous, Prosperous
Kenta – Strong, Healthy
Raiden – Thunder, Lightning
Sounds nice as well
ehhh..not bad..sounds nice. ^.^ i’m keeping 2 puppies,1 male 1 female. then 1 female give to the male owner, another male sell out lor.

Are you a professional journalist? You write very well.
i want 1 puppy also!!!! friday nite go on webcam… ???
i have a suggestion, use the 4 season in japanese for the 4 pups names…. kekeke…
yeah i’ve thought of that too!
Spring ==> はる or 春 (haru)
Summer ==> なつ or 夏 (natsu)
Autumn ==> あき or 秋 (aki)
Winter ==> ふゆ or 冬 (fuyu)
can consider too
wah…thanks sis n nicole for the translation n with wording! sounds nice too. I’m thinking should i register those names into the certs? usually ppl register english name in certs… for example : Suki’s name in the cert is actually xxxx Summer (xxxx is the surname..I’ve 4gotten..have to go home check)
hahaha… then wat’s is suki’s “hubby” surname? the kids have to follow the “father’s” surname right?? lol…
can register using the english 4 season, and call them as the japanese 4 season.. kekekek…
Hm..not too sure..i have to read the registration of litters again. quite confusing…
Hmm… I read blogs on a similar topic, but i never visited your blog. I added it to favorites and i’ll be your constant reader.
