So, while on my getaway trip to Singapore, I visited my sis who now lives there. Oh of coz, I stayed over at her place too. Did I mentioned it’s also a all inclusive paid trip for me? Sponsored by her! I’ve got a really great sis who pampered me. =D
She know how much I love desserts so we head over to NYDC(New York Dessert Cafe) at Holland Village (also known as Holland V).

Oh before I go further bout the desserts, Holland Village is quite a popular venue for younger Singaporeans and expatriates, it is dominated by and often visited solely for its eateries and watering holes, along with some specialist shops selling non-traditional wares.

The settings of the shop is quite New Yorkie too.

Since sis and her fren said they will eat too, so we ordered for 4 pieces of cakes!
#1 The Big “O” Cheesecake @ SGD$7.20

nydc friends’ fav chocolate cake with piped swirls of light whipped cream. So good, diners come back for this time and again.
I think among the cakes we ordered I like this second best.
#2 Wall Street Carrot Cake @SGD$7.20

deliciously moist carrot cake studded with exquisite walnuts and piled high with cream cheese. So splendid, we hope stock prices won’t crash on this.
I’m not a huge fan of carrot cake so I can’t comment much, it was alright for me.
#3 Boo Boo (such a cute name for a cake!) @ SGD$6.80

nydc friends’ fav chocolate cake with piped swirls of light whipped cream. So good, diners come back for this time and again.
I love this among all 4 cakes! It’s not too sweet and it’s chocolaty enough for me.
#4 High and Mighty @ SGD$8.50

A towering confection featuring 24 layers of chocolate fudge and fluffy sponge, drenched in bittersweet chocolate. A divine creation that’ll leave you gasping with every bite.

The name really suits the cake, when they say high and mighty, it really is!
But I was lil disappointed at high and mighty coz it’s pretty dry for a cake and it wasn’t chocolaty as I thought it would be.

Oh, I ordered for a cuppa Oreo Fusion Shake @ SGD$9.80 too! It’s Oreo drowned and blended in thick chocolate milkshake and topped with whipped cream.
Sis and her fren who earliered mention they’ll eat, I think they kinda eat like just few small mouth of each piece of cake. And the rest? Ended up in my tummy!
I think NYDC is quite a nice place to hangout, sit there chit chat with friends and enjoy a cuppa coffee or chocolate drink for tea time. I pretty much like the settings and atmosphere there. It’s quite cozy!
