Every single time when I go visit my dearest sis in Singapore, I crave for the huge crab in chilli sauce(also called chilli crabs) and we will head over to Jumbo Seafood(they have a few branches btw)for the huge feast! Huge feast due to everything looks good on the menu and we tend to order too much to fit into our small stomach, most of my stomach space are reserved for desserts.

We didn’t make any reservation that day and it was dinner time and their place is ever so packed! So we decided to leave our number on the waiting list and headover to the bar next door while waiting.

As soon as we sat down and i took a camwhore photo, they called and said the table is ready. T____T

Anyway, we got an outdoor table and I was worried that I’ll need to feed the mosquitoes while I’m eating.

But, it’s not like we had a choice… It could be a long waiting time for the tables inside the restaurant.

I flipped through the menu and saw this Deep-Fried Red Tilapia which I think it looks like a dragon flying fish. Okay, it’s not like a dragon fish exist, nor I’ve seen any dragon before. It’s just my imagination of how a dragon fish would look like. Oh btw, this “dragon flying fish” is one of the recommended dish in their menu.

Anyway, we didn’t order the “dragon flying fish”. We ordered for Drunken Prawns (SGD$19.50 for 6 prawns).

The prawns are really sweet and fresh! Yummehhhhhh~~~

Since there were 3 of us, we each had 2 prawns. =D

Donut with Seafood Paste (SGD$8.00).

It doesn’t look like the typical shape of the donut you eat elsewhere.

It’s flour fritters stuffed with cuttle fish paste., coated with sesame seeds, deep fried till crispy, serve with sweet peanut prawn paste.

We usually don’t order rice when eatring seafood so we opt for noodles instead.

Of all noodle I dun understand why they ordered Mee Goreng (SGD$12.00). T____T For me, I think Mee Goreng at those stalls by the roadside or mamak is still the best…

We were too ambitious and ordered for 2 Jumbo Chilli Crab (SGD$144.00).

No joke… the 2 crabs are really huge Sri Lanken crabs, that’s like 1kg for each crab, and there were only 3 of us eating and take note my sis is a small eater.. so it’s more like 2 people eating 2kg of crabs.

The live sri lanken crab, stir-fried in rich savoury chili gravy, best served with steamed/deep-fried buns also known as mantou.

U know… eating crab could be quite messy, especially those cooked with sauce. Not like eating crab is messy, it’s more of the process of breaking the shell of the crab which is really messy. The sauce could splash all over your clothes, or worse… to your face(I find it really irritating when sauce get onto my face when I’m eating).

So, Jumbo Seafood do provide the cute lil apron to wear if you’re eating the crabs, to prevent your favourite top to be stained by the sauce which if it’s stained, you look like a toddler who just started to eat by him/herself with the baby food all over the place, the clothes and face.

I think the Apron is kinda cute so I took another photo, with my sis. ^_^. I dun mean I’m cute in that apron, I’m thinking the crab printing on the apron is cute!

The damage of the night is SGD$225.16 inclusive of the peanuts, mantou, tea, food mentioned above, and Service Charge and government Tax.

Jumbo Seafood is like the MUST-GO place in my list on my every single trip to Singapore. So till then, I’m just gonna salivate over the photos here.
