While everyone is making such a big fuss about today 11/11/11, I came across that it’s indeed a special day, for South Koreans which they celebrate Pepero Day!

Pepero (빼빼로) is a cookie stick, dipped in chocolate syrup, manufactured by Lotte Confectionery in South Korea since 1983. It was inspired by the Japanese product, Pocky produced by Glico.

Pepero Day is something similar to Valentine’s Day. It is named after the Korean snack Pepero and held on November 11, since the date “11/11″ resembles four sticks of Pepero.

The holiday is observed mostly by young people and couples, who exchange Pepero sticks, other candies, and romantic gifts. Lotte denies starting the holiday and instead states that they noticed a bump in Pepero sales around November 11th and after continued popularity they decided to then encourage the holiday with special gift boxes and other promotions.

According to one story, Pepero Day was started in 1994 by students at a girls’ middle school in Busan, where they exchanged Pepero sticks as gifts to wish one another to grow “as tall and slender as a Pepero”.

Since today is actually 11/11/11, it makes it more special for this “Valentine’s Day”, coz the next 11/11/11 will be another hundred years later, which I believe most of us wouldn’t make it to that day. Not like I’m cursing us on death but we would be 120-130 years old by then, judging by our lifestyle I doubt we would live till that all, of coz with some exception case.

In Japan, a similar Pocky Day was started; however, it has failed to gain traction.

I would want to celebrate the korean version instead, but since I do not have a Pepero with me now, I use my Pocky instead. Also, since it’s 11/11/11, I guess I should have 8 sticks of Pocky instead, but I dun have that with me now, I only have a GIANT Pocky! I guess it should be able to represent 8 small sticks of Pocky!

So, in Malaysia should we celebrate Nyam Nyam day instead? =p

How many of you actually do a self check on your breast?

You should, at least once a month. Coz it could affect just anyone, even guys as well.

In conjunction of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Wacoal have organized a pink ribbon event called the “Let’s Pink” event which was held at Ground Floor Highstreet Main Entrance, 1 Utama New Wing to help bring the awareness to the public. I was glad that Ah Bok aka Taufulou have invited me to the event as a media as I’ve learn something new from this event. Besides, there were even doctor from Assunta to help do a breast check in a covered area.

So, after the registration, we were given a card to collect the stamps from each booth.

So, since there were still much time before the launch of the event by the VIP and models in the Wacoal bra struck their best pose on the stage (ohh lala~~~ you just gotta scroll down and check those out!), I walked around the area to collect my stamps in order to get the goodies. Of coz, you learn something from each booth.

There were also simple Q&A session as well. I queued up for the breast check by the doctor as well, it’s really a good chance to get a professional check for you. How many of you actually bother to go clinic and seek the expert’s help and advise?

However, it was a long queue so I visit the Remamma booth. Okay… I totally have no idea what was that about till the staff explained to me.

Remamma is actually for those who had mastectomy(A mastectomy is surgery to remove a breast) probably due to breast cancer. Some patients who had to have parts of their breast removed will probably have uneven size of both left and right breast. That’s when Remamma will come in good help. The patients could contact Wacoal and made an appointment at their HQ to get fitted for the size. There will be a pad(depending on size) inserted into the bra so that when the patients wears it, it’ll look even from the outside and I don’t think anyone could even noticed it. I know that going through a mastectomy could be such a tough decision. So, Remamma comes in good help in helping to boost up a patient’s confidence.

Next, I went and check out their lovely bras. Ahhh~ so much of lace! =)

Do you know the correct way of wearing a bra?

It’s very important especially when you’re getting a new sets of bra. Coz when you get the wrong ones, you could end of not getting enough support for it or too much of flesh bulging  out.

Guess what! Even breast has fruits shape!

I didn’t know that all this while.

Okay, mine is Apple. Based on the chart it says Apple is the ideal shape. *Proud* So what’s yours?

I got myself measured and the measurements are … *not telling*.

They wrote it down on the paper for my reference together with the bra size. However they had to write other bra size which Wacoal carries as my appropriate bra size is not sold in Malaysia. Unless I find a way to import it from Japan.

Anyway, it was already my turn for the breast check by the doctor. I was given a paper and step into a covered area.

I was asked to undress for the top half and wear a robe. The doctor asked if I do my breast check at home monthly and if I know how to do it. Honestly, I do it like once in a blue moon and I’m not sure if I was doing it correctly. So, the doctor guided me on that. She then wears a glove for hygiene purpose and start pressing over from  my left armpit to the breast, and repeats on the other side to check for any lumps. Do you know that breast cancer could also be in the armpit?

After the doctor have done with the checking, she wrote some notes on my paper for reference and I could also use it if I head over to clinics or hospital for consultation.

Ah Bok seems to enjoy molesting the “model” there, he better get a real gal!

Nah… just joking.

He is darn pro okay… teaching us how to check for lumps. sigh.. *paiseh* Need a guy to teach us gal how to check for that.

Then I enjoy “zha-ing” the breast too.

Ohh… how could I attend events and not camwhore right?

The timing was just quite right for me. Not long after all these, finally it has come to the time of the launch.

The host of the day is Elaine Daly and Debbie Goh, which Elaine spoke in English and Debbie spoke in Mandarin.

The VIPs were invited on stage for the launch.

And they receive token of appreciation.

And a group photo.

Then, followed by the fashion show. Yeah~~~ This is the one of the best part of the whole event. Wacoal showcase their new launch bra and sleepwear. The models worn a striking pink casual wear with their bra exposed to show the sexiness of the bras.

The designer is pretty creative too, the models wore the bra with a dress like a barbie doll outfit. They looks like a fairy.

Totally <3 it!

They are like sexy, lovely, sweet angels.

Then there comes the sleepwear or those you could just wear at home, or you could even wear it out as an outfit too.

These gurls, ladies, mummy, chun chicks stands united against breast cancer.

Then there’s also photo session with Elaine and Debbie Goh.

Realise something? Not only they’re pretty, they make me look short! Sigh… I was already wearing like 3 inch heels!

Oh yeah, the last task for collecting the chops is to write a message and stick up on the pink ribbon.

Even mum brought their daughter to support this campaign.

Early detection saves lives.

If you’re a Malaysian, you would know what day is 709. Even if you’re not Malaysian, probably, you would have already heard bout 709.

It’s a day to be remembered, a day people want a change, a day people stand up for their rights, a day people wants a clean and fair election, a day of peaceful demonstration.

It’s “YELLOW” Day(people dress in yellow). The correct term is Bersih 2.0 rally. It’s also known as Walk of Democracy, where the peaceful demonstration takes place on 9th July 2011 which we also call it 709.

The Bersih 2.0 rally (also called the Walk for Democracy) was a demonstration in Kuala Lumpur held on 9 July 2011 as a follow-up to the 2007 Bersih rally. The rally, organised by the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih), was supported by Pakatan Rakyat, the coalition of the three largest opposition parties in Malaysia, but was deemed illegal by the government. Bersih, chaired by former president of the Bar Council Ambiga Sreenevasan, were pushing the Election Commission of Malaysia (EC) to ensure free and fair elections in Malaysia. It demanded that the EC clean up the electoral roll, reform postal voting, use indelible ink, introduce a minimum 21-day campaign period, allow all parties free access to the media, and put an end to electoral fraud.

There were about 10,000 to 20,000 people turned up for the rally and to march to Merdeka Stadium.

Where was I? I didn’t take part in rally, I was prohibited from going out by my parents. Totally understood, my parents doesn’t even allow me to take public buses since young, moreover a rally?

This is the day, where our Malaysian Lady of Liberty is named.

Anne Ooi, 65 year-old, from Setapak, took a bus ride down to KL, ALONE, in support of the rally. She was stopped 4 times, being asked her IC, and questioned by the police on why shes wearing yellow. “why cant I wear yellow?” was her reply. she didnt know what time the rally was scheduled to start, she didnt know where, she has no one with her; all she knew was to get down to KL, and stand for what she believes in.

It’s supposedly to be a peaceful demonstration, however, it ended up chaotic, undesirable ending. Read about it, it’s all over the Internet.

Since I didn’t participate, I’ve been able to be part of the MV of 709阿JIB哥唔沖涼 by EVYbody. Just a cameo la of coz!

So, how did you celebrated your count down for a whole new year?

Hm..mine was pretty interesting. Ah Bok organized and private party with pyjamas as dress code. Ahem… yes! interesting dresscode we had!

So, when we talk bout pyjamas…guys starts to drool with their imagination of gals with the sexy lingerie/sleepwear…

and for gals? No, we dun imagine what the guys wear, we just focus what we want to wear and show!

I was contemplating on what to wear to the party. I wanted something which is more to cute and innocent. Still couldn’t decide after days, so, I woke up on the morning of New Year’s eve, dug up my old pyjamas and start trying it on. And yeah, I showed you the photos earlier.

And this is what I wore!

Sorry to disappoint, there’s nothing revealing. It’s not like I don’t have the sexy sleepwear but I’m just afraid that there were insufficient supply of tissue that night, probably the guys needs to get tampons from gals to stuck it into the nose. *Oppsss* I’m such a narcissist! Okay…just joking, I just dun feel comfortable enough to wear those infront of people.

I think it’s nice to see a bunch of gals in the pyjamas together in a picture.

But feels kinda weird when you see a bunch of guys together in their pyjamas.

When the clock strikes 12.00am of 1.1.2011, we held up our cups high and cheers.

If you thought that we missed the fireworks, then u’re wrong! From the studio apartment where we were, we were still able to see part of the fireworks. It’s kinda far away and the view is somehow blocked by another building, but anyway, we were still able to catch a glimpse of it.

Some of them were busy playing Chor Dai Di (Big 2).

And some of us played some drinking game. Each of us takes turn to stuck the sword to the beer barrel, if the pirate bounce out, then the person will need to drink.

Remember the games you played when you were younger? There’s a game where one person will spin the needle and see where it points on the board, then the one of the participant will need to place either their left hand, right hand, left foot or right foot on the coloured circles. The game is called Twister.

It’s fun even just by looking at them playing.

Just dun ask me what are both of them doing there.

I had to change my pyjamas to play this game…

12 hours of party, from 8pm-8am with electro-trance and house music by the beach. It’s awesome, craziness, and wild. Imagine, hot babes in bikini and hot hunks in only their shorts! People from all around the world came just to attend one of the biggest party of the year – ZoukOut 2010.

My sis managed to get the tickets from her friend whom works in Zouk KL.

Thank god that she got us the tickets coz the tix were sold out and people have to actually queue for hours on the actual event day itself without knowing if they could really get hold of the passes.

We (sis and I) met up with her friends at Vivo and had dinner at Maccas. Apparently, the whole gang had no idea what Maccas is and thought that it’s an Arabic or Middle-East Restaurant instead.

We then tried to catch a cab to Sentosa Island, unfortunately there’s no cab which willing to drive in coz the whole area is jammed up. It was a good choice that we opted for tram after that coz I heard it could be an hour just to get into the island by cab.

Even the tram is packed, but it’s pretty fast coz it’s just a short ride in. It’s quite a distance to walk from the tram station to the main entrance of the Zoukout.

I could say it’s a pretty interesting walk. Though it was just around 11pm, you could see many people sitting at the side of the road, wasted.

Of coz, there’s usually accidents with such a huge and happpening party like this so there were quite a number of ambulance on standby.

It’s such a long queue.People actually queue for an hour to get into the party!

We didn’t go straight in, instead to a *special* place first.

My sis friend, Hui Yi actually parked her car earlier at the Underwater World carpark to have their very own “mini bar” – a boot camp instead.

It’s a great spot, really. It’s just by the beach and we get to enjoy the air and scenery there.

There were Vodka, other hard liquor, wine, juices, mixer and so on.

All you need is just to place an order with another friend and wait for your drink. *wink*

Nah… I din drink.

Opps… I drank, but only orange juice. Those who know me well should know that I’m a really bad drinker. I dun wanna get drunk and ended up so sleepy and tired that I couldn’t enjoy the party. That’ll be totally wasting money.

We chill out quite some time here until the rain stops at about 1am and that’s when our real party started!

It’s craziness inside there! 30,000 people at a party!!!

This is the biggest rave party I’ve ever attended.

And also my first time partying together with my sis too.

There were actually quite a number of people lying down at the beach, I’m not sure if they’re just resting to wait till 3am for DJ Tiesto and 5am for David Guetta or they’re actually wasted.

There were many bars setup along the beach and different stage as well. Of coz, the biggest crowd would be around the main stage.

Suddenly I saw sparks behind the security/first aid post.

And there were a wishing star too.

With another blink of an eye and the sparks were shooting right up to the sky.

We arrived at the perfect timing.

Woohoo~~~~the fireworks have just started!

By the way, that’s Eugene on the right. He kept saying that he didn’t like to be in pictures but somehow he always have a funny expression in the pics I’ve taken.

I was quite tired but I’d be stupid if I sit aside and rest coz I know I will fell asleep, and that’s for sure. So, continued to party till DJ Tiesto’s turn to spin. The nearer we go the the stage, the more I felt like I’m the patty in a burger. People kept pushing and around and that’s really irritating.

This is basically what I see the whole night. Arghhhhh!!! Can’t really see the stage. 

It’s quite suffocating as well. I’m not a tall person, and everyone is sweating, and some had BO as well. It’s really hard to gasp for the fresh air. The only time you’ll get some cold air is when the music stops, when everyone is not moving.

At last, the moment that everyone has been waiting for!

His mix is good! But his voice just made me speechless with this expression =,=”"” especially when he says :”David Guetta”. Tarak Ohm lah! Sounded too cute for him.

It’s David Guetta! The first few spin from David is alright but it wasn’t as good as expected after that. We left not long later after that at about 7am.

So, something BIG happened last Saturday and it involves a red purple carpet ceremony.

YES. It’s the Shout! Awards 2010 happening at Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil and I got the VIP tickets.

It was telecast live on 8tv! Checkout the part which was not shown on TV here too!

The host of the night is hot guy Henry Golding, the sexy Sarah Lian, and the funny Hafiz.

And by attending the Shout! Awards, I now know that we do have a lot of supporters for our local entertainment industry.

So guys, do continue to support our local entertainment industry and I look forward for even greater performances and award giving ceremony for next year’s Shout! Awards!

Oh yeah… it’ll be great if they have fashion police or a dress code next time.

So, I went to a party last week, a party which I mentioned here before.

Yeah, it’s the Shout! Awards pre-party!

It’s actually called XPLAY Shout! and there were Battle of the Bands happening that night too! The awesome party was at library The Library at e@Curve.

Oh yeah, those who reload RM30 for their XPAX enjoyed free-flow throughout the night too.

The Xplay Shout! performers of the night are Disagree, Hujan, Mizz Nina & DJ Ash as well as Battle of the Band finalists Arabella, Farai Hughgrie, Hello, Is This The Band? and Once Upon A Time There Was A Sausage Named Bob.

Some people says that the dog looks like the owner, some says owner looks like dog. Hm..which is which?

I guess in my case we just look like each other.

I just dug back some of the old photos of Suki & me, not that old actually, about 2-3 years back perhaps? At max 4 years back.

I have friends telling me that Suki & I actually look alike. I guess that’s because we both have round black eyes.

Of coz, mine is not as round, I’d probably looks like a vampire if so.

We’ve even taken our “wedding photo” together!

Dogs are smart and they’re always learning. There is one thing that I wished Suki hadn’t learn, snoring.

Oh yeah.. she snores~~~ LOUD and CLEAR. probably louder than me. Her snores do wake me up, sometimes!
