It’s like we were back to the Teresa Teng era for this CNY Cheongsam photoshoot. It’s not easy this time, coz the pose are pretty restricted, you can’t do like crazy pose in this shoot. Besides, I was having a really bad flu that day. It’s so bad that when I’m not infront of the camera, I’m busy blowing my nose(lucky dun have photos of behind the scene). Almost at the end of the photoshooting I took a short nap and continue again coz the flu was really killing me!

I should really get the Messiest Room Award. Seriously. You’ll know why in a short while.

You know pre-Chinese New Year is all always about cleaning the house till it’s sparkling clean which everything needs to be done before the first day of CNY. And yeah.. that’s the only time I clean my room, oh no..clean is the wrong word, I should use the word tidy instead(coz I dun take everything out and wipe away the dust or wipe my windows).

Earlier on you’ve seen how messy my room is.

But this year, with the help of my dear sister, I consider it as spring cleaning(I haven’t been digging out stuff from cupboards and wardrobe for the past 9 years). We She dug out all my clothes and everything from the cupboard and threw most of my stuff away which ended up with more than 10 plastics bags of rubbish collections( I prefer to call it years of collection).

The only thing I love about cleaning is not because my room looks sparkling clean after that, it’s because that’s the time that I could find back all my misplaced stuff and memories.

I’m flooded with all my young memories now(not to say I’m that old now, I’m just younger those days). I found my primary school photos(SRJK (C) Convent Datuk Keramat and SRJK (C) Puay Chai), my stamp collection, my favourite colour pencils, my carving knives, love letters and also the autograph book where we ask our friends to write their contact details and messages for us(there’s no Friendster or Facebook during that time k?), and also the telephone book (we dun have mobiles phones in those time, not like now so canggih, 5 years old also got mobile phone). Ish!!! I also re-read the love letters… Aww… so sweet~

But since IT is so advance now and with the help of Facebook, I managed to keep in touch with primary school mates and we still do have gathering once a year. I’m really thankful there’s Facebook which kept us connected all over the world with updates of where are my friends and what they are up to now. I myself specially like the point that I can stalk them on FB. It’s pretty interesting when you have got nothing better to do at home! Okay… I should really get a life now. This sound so wrong. >.<

Oh yeah… I also found a photo taken with Kit Siang 8 years back at Genting Mary Go Round. I recently went to Genting again with him and friends and took a similiar photo at the same place.

People say that we didn’t change much from 8 years till now. But please, please, please tell me I’m better looking now! I was so skinny back then and looked more like a skeleton bone rather than a human being. So, tell me I’m better looking now k?

So, for those memorable stuff that I found is kept in this Schu box now. I just opened up the box and see the stuff inside again. Awww… so much of memories. It’s really fun and enjoyable to open and read back those autograph books and of coz, love letters. *wink* Nowadays people uses email to send love letters instead, or maybe with Facebook messages.

Oh yeah, I must show you my favourite colour pencils, it’s Colleen Color Pencils. It has 30 pencils with different colours at both ends which means I have 60 colours. This is considered as one of my precious, I think I got it during my primary school times and if you observe closely, some of the pencils are still not sharped till now. I was super proud of my colour pencils at school coz I have skin beige colour to colour human skin on drawings, where most of the students were using brown colour instead.

My sis was happily digging out all my stuff from my cupboard while I was happily enjoying checking out all my stuff. When it comes to this one particular compartment, I told her not to clean it coz everything in there are important to me and I want to keep it.

She ignored me and opened it, she got stunned awhile and then burst into laughter and asked me to check out the stuff inside. I couldn’t help but laughed non-stop too.

There are 10 empty box of contact lens boxes(no more contact lenses inside) and also blank box of contact lens solution. Something important that you must know, I’ve done my eye lasik for over a year already. Each box of contact lens has 6 months of supply for each eyes. So, some calculation here.

10 box contact lens = 2.5 years

eye lasik done = 1 year ago

This mean that I have kept the empty contact lens box for about 3.5 years now.

Did I also mentioned that I’m a great collector of boxes and shopping plastic bags?

I also found my arm floats. The baby Flintstones arm float that I used when I was still in kindergarten.

I also have kept one of my drawings from Secondary, couldn’t recall which year though. My sis forced me to throw it away, else I would have still kept it. So, I took a photo of it to keep as a memory.

Suki must have also recall her puppy memories. While we were cleaning, she went to this small red basket and slept all of sudden.

FYI, she used to sleep a green basket when she was a puppy till I sew her this house.

I took a day or two to sew this ok? Dun play-play. Inside got Christmas light also one.

To prevent the puppies from disturbing my cleaning job, I bought the playpen to kinda cage them with all their teddy bears, blanket, water supply and toilet provided.

They seem to enjoy their new “house”.

But they still do sleep on my bed at night.

Sound asleep, they very much enjoy the comfort of my bed.

With the help of those fragrance and gift boxes, my stuff are more manageable now.

My sis have helped me to tag the boxes too so I could easily find my stuff back.

I also bought a new Ikea drawer to put my clothes, my wardrobe is just not big enough for all my clothing. You wouldn’t believe how much of clothes I have donated out.

All my facial stuf are nicely arranged too.

After a few days more than a week of cleaning, my room is finally clean.

*PROUD* such a great achievement for me. I think my room was never this clean. Told ya earlier, I haven’t been REALLY cleaning my room for the past 9 years living here. Shii… Thank god my mum doesn’t read my blog. At this moment, my room is in the condition of messy again. Just one day is enough for me to turn this clean room into a very messy stage, I dun need to dirty it up on purpose, that’s just me!

Take note, my room also has a full length mirror now. ^.^

You know what that means?

I gonna take more vain photos till you’re sick of it. Nah… just joking, but I wanna show one more photo of myself here now. =p

So, moral of this blog post, I’m such a good collector right? I know I know… Thank you thank you. Let me give you some explanation. I love to keep things, becoz I have this thought in mind which is “What if I need it next time? It may still be in use.” . So, I tend to keep more stuff(I dun consider it rubbish)=D The next time if you wanna keep your things, I think you can pass to me, I can really keep it for a long loooooooooooooong time, I could even forget that I have kept it till you ask from me again. I might charge you a small fees for it perhaps.

But there is no guarantee that my sis will throw it away. So, dun blame me for it later! XD

Oh yeah… Ikea have the contest for room makeover for messiest room months back, I thought I could have won if I join too. =p

You think I gonna expose my family secret? Wahahaha. Nah.. Just sharing some photos of the end results of family secret recipe. =p

When Chinese New Year (CNY) is around the corner, every chinese family will do a spring cleaning, clean almost all can be reached corner. This is the part which I hate the most. This is the time I have to dig my cupboards, throw all the rubbish which I like to keep away. Dig my wardrobes which have overloaded of clothes which i dun feel like giving away but kept buying.

This is also the time around many families will start baking cookies, specially those secret recipe. Same here. my sis just came back from Singapore and we start baking our family secret recipe Peanut Cookies which it melts in your mouth. No kidding. No that I wanna brag, I’ve never tasted peanut cookies better than our family recipe. *yum yum*
